Kaimupulehu Grand Estate
There are homes you visit, and then there are places that seem to create their own little world. Kaimupulehu Grand Estate is the latter—a sprawling private retreat tucked into one of Hualālai’s most coveted neighborhoods, where tropical gardens, sweeping lawns, lava fields and the blue Pacific unfold across nearly three-quarters of an acre.
At the heart of the estate is an extraordinary infinity pool designed for long Hawaiian days. A sandy beach entry slips gently into the water, while a swim-up bar, spill-over spa and flickering tiki torches make it equally irresistible after sunset. Beyond the pool, the 18th fairway of the Ke‘olu Golf Course stretches toward the ocean, creating a panorama that changes throughout the day and turns golden as evening settles over the Kona Coast.
Inside, nearly 5,850 square feet of living space feels grand without losing its sense of ease. Pocket doors disappear into the walls of the Great Room, allowing the home to open completely to the covered lanais and gardens beyond. Six separate lanais create intimate places to disappear with morning coffee, gather for dinner, or simply watch the trade winds move through the palms.
The professional chef’s kitchen is designed for everything from quiet family breakfasts to dinners prepared by a private chef, with Wolf appliances, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, dual dishwashers, wine refrigeration and a beautiful koa wood bar. A dedicated media room offers another place to gather, while the private office—with its own ocean views—makes working from Hawai‘i feel considerably less like work.
The primary suite is its own sanctuary. A king bed opens toward a generous private lanai and double hammock, while the spa-like bath pairs dual showers with a dramatic stone soaking tub overlooking a lush tropical garden. Step outside and a private garden shower turns something as ordinary as rinsing off after the beach into one more distinctly Hawaiian pleasure.
Four bedrooms are located within the main residence, with a detached ohana cottage offering additional privacy for extended family, grandparents, another couple, or guests who appreciate having a retreat of their own. Altogether, the estate accommodates up to ten guests across five bedrooms, with 5.5 bathrooms and four tropical outdoor garden showers.
And despite the estate’s remarkable sense of seclusion, Hualālai’s resort amenities are only a six-to-seven-minute golf-cart ride away. Three four-passenger golf carts are provided, making trips to the beach and resort effortless before returning home to the privacy of Kaimupulehu.

And when it is finally time to leave, there is no departure cleaning fee—because the last morning of a Hawaiian vacation should be spent beside the pool, not worrying about the house.
Kaimupulehu Grand Estate sleeps 8–10 guests and may also be offered as a four-bedroom residence, without access to the detached ʻohana cottage, during select non-holiday and non-Festive periods.
Impeccably cared for and professionally managed by Beyond Sunset, Kaimupulehu Grand Estate offers something increasingly rare at Hualālai: the space and privacy of a true Hawaiian estate with the pleasures of the resort just minutes away.

Beyond the Resort
Hualālai's location puts some of the best of Hawaiʻi Island remarkably close while still feeling wonderfully removed from everything.
Kona International Airport (KOA) is approximately 10 minutes away, making arrival easy and allowing vacation to begin almost immediately. Kailua-Kona, with its waterfront restaurants, farmers markets, boutiques, and historic sites, is approximately 20 minutes from the resort. Waikoloa and its additional shopping and resort amenities are also about a 20-minute drive.
For a day at the beach, the brilliant blue water of Kua Bay is approximately 10 minutes away, while expansive Hāpuna Beach is roughly 25 minutes north.
Those ready to explore farther can venture toward the Mauna Kea Visitor Information Station, approximately 70 minutes away, or spend a day discovering Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, roughly two hours from the resort.
And tucked into the cooler elevations above the Kona Coast is the island's legendary coffee country — an easy scenic drive through one of Hawaiʻi's most beautiful and distinctive landscapes.
